ANNIE!!!!

The Walthamstow Community Production is back! An inclusive, all-ages community theatre project
performed right here in Waltham Forest. We organise, produce, rehearse and perform a musical
production involving hundreds of people from our local community and an audience of more than a
thousand.
This year, we are performing the musical ‘Annie’, and we want you to be involved!


Sign up for all who want to be involved (performers and production support)

Date: Saturday 13th January 2024
Time: 2-4pm

Auditions
FOR LEAD ROLES ONLY (secondary school year seven up to adults)
Date: Sunday 14th January 2024
Time: 2pm start (audition materials will be provided on the day, so no need to prepare anything)
*Please note: you must also come and register at Saturday sign up if you plan to audition!
Both sign up and auditions will be held at TheCentrE17, 1 Church Hill, E17 3AB (just behind Today
Bread).

The dates of performance will be Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March 2024. For more
information, including rehearsal times, please see our website and join our Facebook group.

This production is open to all and it is free to be involved in. We welcome those who have performed
before, and those who have never sung a note in public. All ages welcome. If you’re interested in

Dress Rehearsal Scheduled w/c 9th March 2020

Dear All,
It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel the production (including dress rehearsals and performances) over the next couple of weeks. This is not a decision we have made lightly and feel it is the only route to guarantee the safety of our volunteers, performers and audience.
With the current increase of Covid-19 cases and the continued cancellations of events, we feel we would be irresponsible not to cancel at this time.
A number of parents, performers and volunteers have raised concerns and / or decided to pull out of the production and it would be remiss of us not to take these comments and actions on board and act accordingly.
We have tried to find a way keep the production going but still feel the risk is too high.
These included:
 – reducing audience numbers
 – re-staging the production to try and minimise close contact
 – waiting to see what happens after the dress rehearsal
 – and more…
You have been incredible! We are always overwhelmed with the level of support, commitment and creativity from our lovely community.
We are sad we are unable to tell you all this in person, but we felt the sooner we let you know the better.
We are in discussions about staging the performance later in the year and will update you all if we are able to move forward with a date in the second half of 2020.
Any tickets purchased will be refunded over the next week or so.
